Study for an Ethereal Delight (2012) was an interactive multimedia installation hung in the atrium of the ICICS Building at UBC. Three LED matrices were constructed out of plastic rods, wood, and zinc tubing, and controlled by an Arduino-Processing-MAX/MSP interface. As viewers travelled underneath each matrix, they would scatter “birds” represented by the LEDs.
